About Munya
Munya Duvera is the Founder and Board Chair of Directors Association, a South African professional body he built from the ground up in 2016 to raise governance standards and develop company directors across the continent. A hands-on entrepreneur, he has personally delivered the organisation's flagship director-training programme for close to a decade, training more than 3,500 professionals since 2018, and holds its own Professional Director (PD), Qualified Director (QD), and Certified Chair (CC) designations.
He is regularly engaged to design and deliver board induction and governance training — with engagements including MTN Eswatini, Jumo South Africa, Danone South Africa, the Legal Practice Council, and the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry — and since 2019 has advised close to 200 companies on governance structure and set-up. He is also a published author on corporate governance, a former weekly business columnist for Moneyweb and The Citizen, and a sought-after speaker on governance, leadership and strategic compliance.
